Elizabeth Kovacs passed away peacefully in Winnipeg on May 5, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born in Hungary, Elizabeth immigrated to Canada in 1956 and later made her home in Portage la Prairie, where she raised her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Edie Kovacs; and grandchildren, Dustin, Cole, and Haley McInnes.
Elizabeth enjoyed returning to Hungary to visit family and friends and found joy in gardening, reading, knitting, and spending time with loved ones.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A private family Celebration of Life will occur at a future date.
